SpecTips - How to Add Insulation on a Roof when Space is Limited
5x the value of typical roof insulation
Adding insulation (R-value) in re-roofing applications can be challenging due to insulation height constraints.Low parapet and curb heights, through-wall scuppers, and penthouse doors and windows close to the roof’s surface can make it nearly impossible to add insulation without making significant modifications to the building. Building modifications are time-consuming and costly, requiring additional labor and materials.
OPTIM-R Vacuum Insulated Panels(VIPs)provide an R-38 insulating value in a 2.6” total system thickness. This unique solution is ideal for re-roofing projects with insulation space constraints. OPTIM-R eliminates the need for expensive building modifications during re-roofing by providing the highest R-value in the thinnest profile.Ithas up to five times the R-value of other commonly used roofing insulation products. Utilize OPTIM-R on your next project to efficiently add code-required or building owner-desired R-value.
